As a couple of other people have posted, the strikes for germany are ridiculous. the fact that you can't reverse them and that they can easily take 100% of your civilian factories (so you can't make more and are completely stuck on construction and trade) means that you have no choice but to restart. There was no warning given in the focus or in the policy decision. there was no information on the "deal with the strikes" decision as to HOW you deal with them and after a couple of failures I finally figured out i needed to remove the war economy (hadn't actually realised it had switched). didn't have enough political power and failed once more. never got the decision again. tried switching back to partial mobilisation. nothing. tried civilian economy. nothing. I don't know how something like that made it through QA
