They are completely useless still and don't justify any investment. This also means flak is completely unneeded for research or fitting. These seriously easy way to fix:
  • Buff turn rate from 0.1 to 0.3
  • Buff launch time from 1.5 day's to 0.5
  • Buff shield's a little and evasion
  • Auxiliary slots that buff the strike craft build times
I love carriers, and I use them in my games with this changes, but I really wish to use them in MP games without mod's. I don't want them to be overpowered like they sometimes tend to be, but they should have a definitive role in fleet composition.

Not sure if these changes would solve the problem but I agree carriers are awesome fluff and should be much better represented than they have been in Stellaris. I also can get behind more variety in viable ship designs to combat the metas that have plagued this game, I love niche fleet designs and combined arms options. There is also the issue of them pathing off on their own to the far ends of the solar systems and being nullified by flak.
