Working on my first Communist Yugoslavia run since the new DLC, and I noticed a change to the requirements for the "Abolish the Monarchy" focus. Here's a screenshot of how it looked in 1.9x:
You could take the focus right after you completed the two above it, and it would accelerate the growth of your communist support. Once you got between 50% - 60% you would then take a peaceful referendum to switch to Tito as your leader.
Now, you are blocked from proceeding until your communism support is over 40%, and your government switches immediately after the focus completes.
This hurts you in two ways- (1) it prevents quick progress on the Communist sub-branch, and (2) it lessens the value of the "Empowered Peasant Councils" spirit, as you will likely already be close to 50% support before the enhanced spirit kicks in.
I didn't see anything about this adjustment in the Dev Diary, so I wanted to let folks know what I found.
Thank goodness I did Huge-o-slavia on a older patch, as this change makes that run more difficult to pull off now.
