Hey everyone! :)

After watching the world war wednesday videos, i was wondering one thing:

I didn't see any indicator in the game, which would show me, how strong my divisions are compared to the ones of the enemy. For example, one of my infantry divisions faces one enemy infantry division. How do i know in this case, if my division could have a chance to beat the enemy division? The enemy division could have better equipment, have a template with more soldiers and support or could be better trained than mine. How could i estimate the enemy divisions strength before i attack it? Did someone hear anything about that from the devs?

Why would you expect to automatically know the relative power of your troops vs an enemies troops?

Because of intelligence/spies. Same thing, what happened in ww2 in real life...;)

Edit: not to forget recon planes and stuff like that...

I think this is a perfectly valid answer.

If you, Commander 3 ARMD DIV, receive intelligence of a few thousand peasants gathering in a field, with pitchforks and spoons, you can estimate their fighting power versus yours. Or absolutely, versus an ant.

Intelligence is based on assumptions and evidence - I see no reason why we could not have an 'combat estimate' pinned to enemy units based on that.

But why a relative strengh indicator ? Why not just an indicator of the average ennemy units strengh ? I mean, I wouldn't like to see, let's say, a green number or something on my basic, old equipped infantry division just because it's in front of a poor milicia. I don't want that the game tells me my forces have more strengh or less, I want that the game give me the informations I "deserve" and then make my own analyse of the situation. I don't want that seems gamey neither.

We still didn't get any informations about military intelligence so far, yes ? (A part from the gone plans stealing)..
