Streaming with OBS + Windowed Mode - Anyone get it to work?

Hello, I decided to start streaming some cities skylines and I just started using Open Broadcaster Software. I can get the game to show up just fine in Fullscreen mode, but when I enter windowed mode the screen goes black. Someone suggested somewhere that you can put a "-w" at the end of the target file exe for a game to work with OBS in windowed mode. However when I right click properties on the icon I get a steam url instead of the exe file location...

So I went into the Steam library and right clicked the game properties and tried changing the set launch options to
-popupwindow
-windowed

but neither of these allowed obs to stream the game in windowed mode. Has anyone made this work for them? thanks

Hey. I don't do streaming, but I do make videos for YT with OBS. To set windowed mode through steam I followed this video:

Also though, the only way I got OBS to record it without it showing a black screen is to use either Window Capture or Monitor Capture in OBS. Using Game Capture doesn't seem to work for some reason, at least not for me.
Beware though, recording with Window or Monitor Capture takes quite a bit of PC juice, so just a heads up.
