Patron of the arts gives cultural tradition these days, not prestige.

A seemingly obvious National Idea to match your Defender of the Faith title is Unam Sanctum (formerly Deus Vult), which allows you a Casus Belli against anyone who is not of your religion. Thus, you can go to war without increasing your Infamy as much as otherwise. On the other hand, since your Defender status already gains a Casus Belli against countries who are at war with someone of your Religion (almost as good), Deus Vult may be redundant and a waste of a valuable slot. Consider adopting Divine Supremacy instead (or Patron of the Arts, so you gain Prestige and don’t lose your Defender status to a rival!).

Yeah, and Naval Tech apparently unlocks a "Wharf" instead of Naval Manufactory...

The author apparently looked directly at the setup files, instead of the localization files. "Naval Manufactory" is the localized label for wharf. From buildings.txt:

I'm not sure. Your account looks fine, and I just double checked the permissions. Some cookie maybe? Try to logout, clear cookies, and restart the browser.

I wonder if Wharf is used anywhere in the localization files. Wouldn't be the first time Paradox used one thing for the tag, and another in Localization.

Page 79, Benefit of Land Unit Type, the guide claims cavalry moves faster than infantry and is useful for moving ahead of the infantry. I think this was removed already with the first HTTT release.

I wonder, was this written during the HTTT development or after?

It may be a good idea to give it a bit of an overhaul before starting to print large quantities of it. Perhaps a thread dedicated to report what can be generously termed slip-ups?

Edit: Same page, btw, talks about regiment consolidation but neglects the most important function of consolidation which is the increase in overall firepower when fielding fewer full strength regiments rather than several depleted ones, which will be destroyed one by one by a smaller, fresh army. Whoever wrote this guide should by all rights be able to pass for native american now, judging by the redness of his face. o

Indeed, this was written during development, just before release, as I recall. The Print on Demand has taken some time to set up. And, as someone else noted, yes I did use the code files, not localisation -- didn't realise there would be a difference there.

I haven't looked at the final PDF, as offered here, but last I knew the appendix charts also hadn't made it into the final layout. I was intending to produce a downloadable PDF so people could have those charts I'd prepared.

When I produce that document -- just 2-4 pages, probably -- I can include any errata you notice.

Your guide rocks. I've found a couple of things, but they're really minor, and some are covered by the explanation you give at the beginning that future patches dan and will change things. Paradox should double your pay!
