I hate all of those TP's... Why not just build nice, developed (unfortified) cities for me to take...?Originally posted by viper37
Colonizing North America is usually my top priroity, but with 1 colonist/year, it's a bit tough. The SPanyards and the English colonize this area so intensively that in my last game with France it took me 300 years to eradicate their presence from NA![]()

OK, I realize I played the game on random/historical events... I have a distinct feeling I got it, but as to why I dare not speculate.
Any wiser, PatMaster?

How early in the game should I try to annex Denmark and how? By force or diplomacy? In my games I always have to fight both Denmark and Russia (damn alliance!), it doesn´t mather if we have a Royal marriage or not (they just don´t like me)
Can someone give me some tips on how I can try to avoid this two-front war?

Annex Russia first with P-L.
I played a game yesterday when I did it with a 25k army.
They just had a war with P-L and their army was at 6k.
It is impossible to diploannex denmark, and it shouldnt be to difficult annexing them within 2 or 3 wars.
Another thing, as Sweden, it is going to be you against the whole world, dont put to much in to alliances.

Annex the HL and the TO. You can afford that BB hit, and you get a lot of funding from taking two CoT. Novgorod should also be a priority target...

Anyway, this is my first post, I've been watching the forum for about 2 months, and it seems to be a good atmosphere here. Looking forward to some interesting discussions.
