Sometimes it happens to me that I can't strategically redeploy my divisions. I usually do it via CTRL. However, in that situation, if I want to do it, instead of the option for strat. red. there is an option for ATTACK although the targeted province is mine. Has anybody had the same problem?

The attack command has been known even back in HoI2, I guess it might be some engine related issue that can't be fixed.

However, are your units adjacent to frontline? If yes, you cannot redeploy them until you pull them to a province where they are not adjacent to any frontline area before you can redeploy.

I have the problem even with units that aren't adjacent to enemy's province. And to be honest it happens more often than I'd wish..

Are you trying to redeploy V1 or V2 units? AFAIK they cannot be redeployed under any circumstances, while ICBMs can be.

And in case if you're playing minor nation, do you have rear area supply dumps researched? If that's the case, unfortunately I'm out of suggestions or questions regarding your issue.

Or if the source province is an island or a province with only blockable strait connections to other provinces. An enemy ship unit in the defined sea zone will block any movement or strat redeployment orders.

The other option is if you play fullscreen but used CTRL+ESC to temporary get back to Windows. You have to press CTRL at least once to get it back, then Strat redeploy should work again.

Do you have a land connection from the province the unit is in to the one you wish to strategically deploy it to? Even if an ally's -or even a puppet's- territory is blocking the land connection, you won't be able to strategically deploy the unit past them.

Are you sure, Mjarr? I think it's the presence of enemy units in adjacent provinces that prevents SR, not simply being in the frontline.

Were there any hostile aircraft in any province bordering the one your unit tried to redeploy from? That prohibits strategic redeployment too.

Redeployment

Redeployment follows your supply route if it is cut off than you cannot do it also you have to consider the movement points of some units, will it's redeployment use of it's max movement or does it have to go further?
