I've noticed that Japan will often perform very well in Mainland asia, taking India, Burma and China, but they seem to do poorly in taking Indonesia, Malaysia or Australia. Also puppet China in 1946 has around 20 divs if that.

Also on a bit of a tangent, as Italy, it's basically impossible to become any sort of Naval power. Even after i took all of southern france (thus breaking the Vichy event), swizerland (in 1939 no less) and all of africa, it still takes something like over a year to produce one fleet of transports. I decided to simply produce 12 air wings of transports and 20 - 30 divs of paratroopers to take england (it is yet to work :( )

If Italy had a serious chance of defeating the UK, there'd be something very wrong with the mod.

It would be a whole lot easier if the UK didn't sink 3 of my transports and all my BBs, if i could get my land army in the UK it'd be a steam roll.
This is the primary UK defence strategy to prevent invasions, you have to realise - sink the enemy ships before they can land. As such, I'd say the UK AI is doing a good job.

Considering I've basically never seen an English ship in the channel when I conquered France as Germany, and the seven garrisons or so it uses to defend Britain, I would say the UK AI does a pretty bad job :(

(although that might also be a vanilla problem)
