I'm playing the UK, 1936 scenario, 1.05b.
Late october 1942, I invaded Bulgaria (part of the axis for years), and installed a puppet regime. Everything fine. But when I loaded the game the next day, right at the start a message appeared: Bulgaria has joined the axis! Apparently the affection for the axis alliance is set high for Bulgaria. But this causes a really strange situation: Bulgaria is still my puppet (centrist government, democratic, I have military acces through it), AND: is still at WAR with the axis. Together with all the allied countries. I haven't noticed any attacks from Romania or vice versa yet, so I don't know whether Bulgaria can actually be annexed by their own alliance.
Anyway, they're NOT at war with the allies either (can't be since I still have military acces). In the diplomatic map mode, Bulgaria is green when I select the allies.
Maybe this isn't a real programming error, but it's not a normal situation either. It certainly requires a solution.
