My guess is that Prussia went to war for Holstein after Denmark lost it to Austria. Britain, Prussia's faithful ally joined and then added a wargoal. Prussia peaced out, leaving Britain and Austria to fight for something completely unrelated to Holstein.

Also, is that Gunboat Diplomacy I see? What version are you playing? D:

You are correct in your series of events. Interestingly Prussia actually succeeded in taking Austrian Schleswig-Holstein and formed the NGF the next day. It was an unusual war all-round though.

Also, yes that is gunboat diplomacy. Vanilla 1.3 from Steam is the version. Although honestly I haven't ever used gunboat diplomacy... I don't know how it works.

I'm trying to decide if it's worth the infamy to take a state for myself despite the fact it would bring me to 30 something infamy, as well as that I am at war with the Russian Empire and the Austrian Empire, currently.

IIRC, that fail government can use its cores to justify invasions of Bavaria, Prussia, Saxony (?), Wurttemberg, and whatever nation divides it in half. Though, it will probably do something dumb like invade France. :/

Nope; the Prussians are my ally and were curb-stomped by the Austrians (whom have an incredible amount of brigades, while the Prussians can barely scrap together a few in time for Hegemony wars. I call manure).

It has done none of the above; it is getting swallowed by the most ironic thing ever: German Pan-Nationalists. No other nation besides this German Derpire are being swallowed by them (along with Anarcho-Liberals and Jacobins; it's capital is safely within Prussian territory, so nothing is rising there in Dresden).

And then "Germany" would become Prussia. Because pan-nationalists don't work when the union country already exists.

I'm not going to abandon the Prussians or the Ottomans. Unlike most players, I like to think about my allies and their futures, instead of what would go cool in the game. I always rush to the Ottoman's side during their wars for reclaiming Dalmatia, or when they are attacked by the Russian Empire for Kars or even their further provinces.

....At least give it war subsidies if it gets into quarrels with the German OPMS...That thing needs to grow.
