Did my head apparel goes backwards? That looks like something for EUIII, not 1900.
Swedes have no taste in fashion.

Really a shame... He was great in Idiocracy. :D

Nice quick promotion from Private 2nd Class (IIRC, or some other non-impressive rank) to General though.

Other South American Democracies have this too. I think Chile was up to 16M people by 1910 in my last Argentina game.

The immigration to South America really isn't that ahistorical -- what's ahistorical is that all of it gets channeled to the democracies, when in reality other countries like Brazil/Argentina got a crapload of immigrants too. Is the democracy bonus hard-coded or in one of the files? If so it should be easy enough to fix.

Yes, that's how the system works. If any south american democracy establishes the same social and political freedoms as the US, it gets the same kind of immigrant appeal as the US.

shit just got real

I'm the South German Federation, and there's also the North German Federation.
I've never seen this happen so I thought I'd do it. :p

Now you can have a North&South civil war american style only in Germany. Beware of the bavarian rebell yell.

I really think other nations around the world with the same or better reforms should be eligible for the immigration-spam, not just the Americas.

the common/poptype files contains the migration/emmigration factors, you'll find the north_america/south_america/democracy modifers there. Copypastaing the Democracy modifier and adding HMS government will help Brazil. Reducing the Americas factor will give other continents a chance.

I personally added Oceania to the NA/SA bracket whilst reducing its overall pull and made HMS equal to Democracy. The USA still has its Homestead Act and Statue of Liberty to pull it ahead of the migrant game. But my British Canada also recieved migrants instead of them being eatten by Chile. With my changes my fully Liberal/Socalist HMS Netherlands received more immigrants than a far less liberal/socialist American Democracy yet has to compete with a highly liberal USA and its migrant magnet

It's 1933 and the AI Dutch have a fleet of 531 Frigates and Man'o'Wars.

v292.jpg

I know what you're thinking. That whole fleet is useless in 1933.

The Dutch agree, and are expanding it with 434 extra Frigates and Man'o'Wars to compensate for their lousy ship types.

Probably the Dutch don't start with Steamers and never felt the need to research it.
