Well, at least that makes our war against France on the continent easier, now that most of their army is in England.

No they can't get the AI to plan good naval invasions using transport ships, so they added the crossings in...

Mostly it will just result in one sided battles as anyone with a bit of brains builds a level max fort there.
Fort bonus + crossing modifier = RIP crossing soldiers.

To be fair, if there are multiple crossings between Gibraltar and Morocco, and Scotland and Ireland, it doesn't make sense why there isn't a crossing between Calais and Dover.

I'm fully in favor of removing all crossings from the game.

No I meant EU4. There are a great many completely silly crossings in EU4, which is what General WVPM was referring to in jest. I am glad they don't exist here so I don't have to remove them like I do there.

Actually, no. There's no strait between England and France in EU4 and the other ones make perfect sense.

It was added in between patches and mentioned in a Dev Diary, but there was considerable outcry and it was removed.

If I had to guess? He dismantled Britain or something. He's certainly dismantled at least France.

If I had to guess, the cynic that I am, I'd say he played a smaller nation to start and used the prestige console command to boost into GP. Or started as Prussia and used it to get to the top. Or used it to get events etc. Basically, it's not legit.
