That happens to me all the time! I thought it was just a bug from playing WWM or something. I've got Iceland trading through Tahiti, which (upon reloading as Norway, controller of Iceland)...has yet to be discovered. I go to click on the COT button, and it's greyed out, telling me we don't know where it is.:wacko:

Quite. It very rarely gets anything above "maybe", and I've never seen it be "very likely".

I am guessing that this is because France was Catholic, but in the midst of all sorts of religious trouble with lots of both Reformed and Protestant provinces, and then I (Byzantium) came along and, uh, convinced them of the benefits of Orthodoxy.
After that, all sorts of rebels started popping up all over France - I have noticed Burgundians, Wallonians, Bretons, Occitans, Catholic zealots, Reformed zealots, and Protestant zealots. I guess that Berry was taken by Protestant zealots, and the only Protestant countries are Bosnia, Norway, Sweden, and Lithuania.
