Well, Antananarivo doesn't have a port, so it's harder to reach than Amboina and Menade (if that's what it's called).

It's coastal geographically, but not as the game sees it. It isn't the only province at the coast without a port, IIRC. I believe its lack of a port is supposed to reflect its high difficulty as a colony province, and that's OK. In my opinion, at least.

Depends what period. And France was always the most heavily populated (For the entire of the game period in Western Europe I think)..

As you can see, uber France and GB in the middle east. Apparently they didn't want to go all the wayyyy across the atlantic to colonize and wanted to jump 300 years ahead of schedule. I conquered portugese america and inherited Sweden. Asia is blobbing nicely.

1640- All hell has broken loose! Epic France epically collapsed and so did Ming, Champa, and the various Indian blobs. Russia is doing nicely under my guidance in a PU, and Eastern Europe is a coalition of states allied against us in our SoIs. Except Transylvania. they have their own sphere and are allied with us.

1650, about 2 years before present. Cleaned up borders and decided to take rome. The pope moved to Alsace, so I DoWed him for nationalism. Bad move. When France collapsed, I didn't notice it became a theocracy. So super pope now rules badassland. Punched him to release french and middle eastern minors. Skip ahead to the present and my colonies have reached the Pacific, I took adjacent Portuguese colonies, and killed the pope so hard he released France. Took 90% war score. My ally list at the start screen looks like Napoleon's because of all the releases. At monarch death -inherit Russia- badass.

P.S. that's austria in anatolia. kicked them out of europe, then they collapsed and I vassalized them.
