This is unusual, let me tell you.
I don't think I've ever posted to this thread before, but I thought now was a good time. I've been enjoying HTTT, warts and all and I came across this late in my current Münster campaign.
So, here it is my friends. I present to you the westernized, Greek-Sunni Sultanate of Genoese Azov...
Figure 1: Rest assured, they didn't last long.
There's really not too much I can say about this except, wow. I've seen Greek sultanates emerge here before, but I guess what struck me so much by this was the bizarre confluence of differing and usually mutually exclusive characteristics.
Oh, I also noticed that my game spawned an equally strange Protestant Kingdom (not Empire) of Byzantium with a Scandinavian dynasty. Fun times folks!
Oh and I am aware that they don't actually possess the Azov region, I just thought it sounded cool anyway!

Their province also has Lombard culture.
All those books are basically a mashup of celtic, norse and similar mythology.
