Yes, France getting a foothold in Scandinavia can be a problem. France in my game was just annihilated by Burgundy, and not at all soon into the game it's only Western European territory was Il de France (which it lost to Austria for about 30 years but then recovered). At the same time, however, it defeated, and annexed Sweden, and is now close to annexing Norway as well.
The Ottomans are in Navarra. Even though I'm Venice, I had no part in this happening whatsoever. Unfortunately, the Ottomans lost it in another war they had with Castille.
Also, in the picture above mine, why is Pskov in an Arkangelsk? And what's that red country in Estonia? England? (In this Venice game, England controls 1 province in Sweden.)
They ran over Novgorod in a war and took half it's provinces. I'm pretty sure they were still a one province minor, so Novgorod must have been in bad shape from fighting it's other neighbors. Super-Pskov didn't last long. It moved it's capital to Arkangelsk before it was annexed, and I recently released it to end a war with HRE Bohemia.
Yes, it's GB. They are really annoying in trying to prevent from expanding with their tech advantage. They also hold all of Aragon except for the province itself in the Spanish peninsula. Castille is still holding it's own though.

I was playing the Netherlands, doing the usual trading and colonising, so I did nothing whatsoever to help them, it's all AI accomplishment.

At the time of that screenshot, probably next to none. But I've played up to the 1770s and Georgia has managed to hold on to those lands and even kept expanding. Then, they broke their BB limit so I fear they might be going down now
