Sell them all your provinces.
Literally.
Wait, you formed the HRE with Byzantium?
Doesn't that mean that the Roman Empire formed the not-very-holy, not-very-roman, not-really-an-empire Empire?
How do you came in that conclusion?
There are no hints that he did that with Byzantium.
In fact, there is one of his navies that is called ''Kaiserliche Flotte'' which apparently means that he did that with Austria.
I was playing as the Byzantines and until I formed the HRE about a year before this screening, I had no holdings near them and little interest in that area.
So, he's a German-speaking Empire, meaning that the Imperial fleet MUST be Austrian?one of his navies that is called ''Kaiserliche Flotte''

Behold Holstein, the little country that could. A one province, un-vassalized minor since 1402, these days Holstein shares Europe with the HRE, Great Brittian, France, Sweden (soon to be Scandinavia), Castille, Aragon, Portugal, Novgood, and Lithuania. Not only are they the only OPM left, they are the only minor or even medium sized country left in Europe period - every other European country has at least 30 provinces (counting colonies). And no, I didn't help them out - I was playing as the Byzantines and until I formed the HRE about a year before this screening, I had no holdings near them and little interest in that area.
Reading is fun.
Is that a mod making the big country names on the map?
