I am playing Bar. I have PUs with Great Britain, Portugal, Aragon, and Castille.

Bar and Castille are Protestant. GB, Aragon, and Portugal are Catholic.

Oddly, no. But relations take a hit, and so you are in danger of losing the union if your monarch dies before you restore relations. However, in HTTT, you get a 5 year CB to let you restore the union if the PU breaks.

I didn't have a chance to get a screenshot, but one time, Nogai owned Zaporozhia, Cherson, and Crimea.

Still not entirely sure how this happened, but my theory is this. First they were the nr. 1 country, controlled half of France, biggest fleet, army second to only ming and Austria. I wanted Calais and surroundings and saw that their main army was in southern France fighting castille and that without military access through France they would only be able to attack me from the sea. So I completely obliterated their navy and all their transports which for some reason they didn't rebuild untill 10 years later when their war exhaustion etc had already spawned so many rebels they lost control.

But what I don't get is how the papal states ended up there They're my vassal, so they shouldn't be able to declare war. Nor are they at war, so the provinces just defected to the papal states...?

dunno why the peace offer augmented , but it is still fairly cheap, it was nearly half than that some months ago but i waited to take all their provinces with nice production goods

Well all English really did was go Viking on all the other languages, so it makes sense that you can nearly understand it.

It's more like English is butchered French, seeing as most of those words were adopted by English from French.

To oversimplify, English is basically the bastard child of French and German, so both of those languages should seem a little familiar to an English speaker. Or what Evil Weasel said.


Edit: In my high school French class, there was this one kid who had a joke about how if you didn't know the French words for something, just say it in English with a French accent and you'd get by, lol. That's not true, of course, but it's just close enough to the truth that it sometimes works.

Well yes, but German and French are the most recent and direct ones. Besides, all of the Romance languages (French, Spanish, Italian, etc) have strong ties to Latin, so they would be similiar to begin with.
