I found these rebels very funny, especially since Iberia had just suffered painful Portugal vs. Castille vs. Aragon war.

If names like that are part of the common naming policy, think how hard it would be with all the Pandukabhayas, Devanampiya Tissas and Vimaladharmasuryas? Easier to just keep one name and add that consecutive number behind it, don't you think?

I guess they are Ceylon leaders by the way. Or somewhere in India.

Yep.. you guessed it.. Ryuku, an OPM at the start, has won several wars over Ming. It has successfully obtained Ming cored provinces.. Respect..

The Mighty Mutapa Empire

In the game im currently playing as Khmer I noticed a province near me that had a light brown colour. It was familiar but not in my region. The province owner was Mutapa! Maybe this happends all the time, but I havent played this game very much so for me it was weird. The year in the picture is 1464, but they have been the owner of that province at least since 1450 or something. Now, later in the game they have lost it.
The religion in the province is animalist.

I don't think you have patch 3.1 IIRC it fixes stuff like that.

This happens now and then. The animalist rebels in the Asian province rose up in a revolt, later cedeing the province to Mutapa. Always amusing though.

I'm the Byzzies, and France DoWd Austria, my ally. Austria were getting their ass kicked in until I noticed that France was on 0 stab... so I went and spammed a few spies to bring them down to -3. After that, I let attrition kick into the French doomstacks, and finished them off myself. Result was a France with 18 WE, -3 Stab and no army. I then simply white peaced out, as I don't really care for France's land and was busy fighting Milan.

Oh, and by the way. That light green colour that's slightly different to Portugal is Parma. France had taken Parma from Milan way back, and Nationalist rebels established Parma.. who then proceeded to start kicking some French ass. Even Trier DoWd France! (Though the idiots decided to white peace out...) Also, religious rebels have run amock. Half of the country is reformed, the other half protestant... and France is in a state where it can't convert!

Though, what was strange is what happened several years before this war.

Now, Riga previously held Livland (don't ask me how Riga beat the TE... probably gained a core via event and got a rebel defection), and for some weird reason, France got involved with a war with them and took it. Strangely, despite France currently owning it during their current state and having a 32% RR there, there's no rebels at all.

That's not my experience. I'm playing 3.2 and Ming provinces near Vietnam still tend to rebel to Korea. Because they are one of the few other Confucianist nations, even though they are thousands of miles away. And if Orthodox rebels run amok in Anatolia, which they sometimes do, you can see provinces on the Mediterranean coast defect to Yaroslavl or Pskov.

I think the latest patches have stopeed defections to countries in different continents. So since korea and ming are both in Asia they can defect to them, and Russia and anatolia both count as being in Europe. So asian provinces defecting to an African country should no longer happen.

I think an Orthodox Ottoman province in Greece would rather defect to a Catholic neighboring Hungary than to distant Novgorod. And a rebellious province in southern China should form Xia, not defect to Korea.

I've never seen orthodox provinces in Greece defect to Russians. :wacko:

They usually form Bulgaria or Serbia...
