They manage to get Empire fairly often, which makes them at least that strong in nearly every game I've played...

So, the story with this pic is that Poland inherited Lithuania --> declares war on bohemia + his allies and me (HRE) --> Poland is quickly taken over by our alliance and i as the leader of the coalition demanded the 3 provinces that you can see on upper right corner(im mecklenburg) --> ottomans and austria join the fun after polands defeat --> their alliances take some land --> HUGE revolts all over poland --> moldavia, ukraina and lithuania become independent nations --> lithuania and ukraina occupy all of poland, lithuania makes peace that gets them 2(?) provinces and i go look back at my france front and take some care of some business and when i come back to look how much land ukraina got, i see this:rofl: (im playing WWM)

Doesn't the Emperor have to be christian? How did that happen then? Seems like quite an achievment. 
That's pretty cool. I guess there are no geographic restrictions in joining the HRE then? I'm currently playing as France and I've had some provincial decisions regarding the joining of HRE, but thats only been on provincial level. I haven't seen an option for my entire nation to join the HRE.
Usually it's an event. If you want, you can type in Alt, and 21 on the numpad at the same time, and then : event 1054 to become and elector in the HRE. I don't generally use cheats, with the exceptions of some events, which I do when nothing interesting is happening. When I do, it's just usually : event <random 4 digit number> lol

Don't you have to let religious zealots take over your country to change outside your group or something like that? And if that has been done.. Can it be done with the Incas to do such a thing whit europeans running around in the neighbourhood? It feels like it's quite hard....

It is quite easy if you have catholic neighbour - you can get event of getting catholic province (or +1 stab - so this is great event!!!).
If he's not playing the Inca, it could be that they were resurrected some time after they were conquered and converted.

Castille conquers Inca
Castille converts Incan provinces
France conquers most of HRE
France defeats Castille, makes them release Inca
Inca is back, but Christian
They become HRE because everyone likes an underdog
I didn't mean it was hard in theory. But letting your country get run over by rebels when having a european neighbour doesn't seem like something I would like to do. Kind of suicidal perhaps? And after that invade europe as I guess he must have done to be considered getting elected... Not the easiest thing in the game.

I do not agree - when you are christian your provinces cannot be taken without peace agreament. SO it is not so suicidial...

presumably rebels fought it free from the current owner, or the current owner released the country
For some reason, Naples decided that they didn't want to unify Italy anymore and just gave up their lands to anyone who asked:

You cant change religious groups through collapsing to zealots... I dont see any point in letting your provinces become christian...
From 3.0 and down you could though, as far as I know, and I believe he isn't playing the latest patches, nor is he playing IN.
