Yeah, he can just blockade Scotland and wait for a rebellion. If he wants to be SUPER gamey, he can wait until it's almost all occupied, take one province in a peace deal, wait for Scotland to revolt (taking his one province with it) and annex the whole thing for grand total of 4 infamy.

Or he can release Scotland or allow it to break free, get a royal marriage with them, claim the throne and force the claim, meaning instant cores upon inheritance.

I seem to have a very odd world history going on. but before i get to that i'll show you a revolution so nice they had to do it twice.

and now the pictures from my current situation.

First up is the Central American Native Papal Controller.

eu37j.jpg

As you can see they have colonies (the light green in Haiti,The Dominican and up near the English-Scottish North American Border)

Now off to Africa where the Moroccan Empire has brought order to the central states and they also the Mamlukes have been reduced to two provinces in the Middle East. Also note Brittany,Venice and Ethiopia.

And i'm dreading the moment the Imperialism Causus Belli becomes available because of this.

Also Xian decided to pay Russia a surprise visit.

Reformed Catholic also managed to gain a huge following and what's left of Lithuania is Protestant.

And finally the crown jewel of the madness we have Ioannes XI Osmanli, Sultan of Sunni Byzantium.

I the problem with ottomans was the DOF and Castille and England invading them, really wish it wont happen anymore in eu4

Yes, i remember one time, playing small mp game, when i just took byzantium out of random, and invaded ottoman player... with 29k army. then took bulgaria... while using my superior navy to blockade his strait. Thou he was not realy experienced, and it was 3 players game.

Splendid Isolation and all that. Oh, I got Conquer Ireland as first mission. Things were going great!

Now what?

Oh. My. God.

Let's just say Burgundy's got my attention now...

That's no problem. you can just blockade them and kill their army in scotland. Try to excommunicate them - that gives you 1 infamy per province, if they are of your culture group = 6 infamy for scotland. Then just let them ship their army thru the channel - as much as they can bring - but not too much - and destroy them part by part. Also use calais to kill them using the fact they will assault it, so they will lose whole their morale, and you will be able to wipe a big part of their army, without realy facing it. Burgundy inheriting scotland is actualy good for you - as long as you are smart enough to take them down, and lucky enough to excommunicate them. Try to vassalize pope - it helps.

Candidate for the most categorical declination of a CTA. I had settled a peace with Bohemia as a lesser participant in a war lead by The Hansa and got some claim revocations and monetary reparations for it. I knew The Hansa could call me to arms after that, but what I hadn't calculated was this:

Choices:

A: Suffer a loss of prestige and imperial authority
or
B: Suffer a -7 stab hit and go to war against half of Europe in favor of a losing side that I myself had beat into a pulp not a month ago.

Tough choice.

You could cancel military access to decrease the stab hit to 2, and then fight like heck against half of Europe. Have fun:laugh:

I'm doing a switch-tag game in Steppe Wolf, and there's a fully stable Rome in 129 AD. In fact, their army size (366,000 men) hasn't changed a bit since the beginning of the game. If you know anything about Steppe Wolf, you know that Carthage, the Gauls, and Egypt nearly always break away by around 60AD, and Asia Minor and Iberia are lost by Cappadocia and Cantabria respectively. The other nations can thank their lucky stars that Rome has been in a regency with no heir for quite a while now.

I forgot to mention that Saxony, Saxe-Lauenburg, Meissen and Friesland are vassals of mine and I have MA to all but Friesland. I also have MA to The Hansa, Brandenburg and Holstein from a war against Denmark, so I don't even have enough diplomats!

An advantage of converting to Catholicism by cheat code in early Steppe Wolf:

EDIT: that combined with Holy War, and the default 2 infamy/province of Steppe Wolf...
