From my current game, full of alliances and BB wars:
Prussia and Austria are the West's whipping boys. They're taken a few provinces from Russia, who's usually in one war or another with Japan or the OE, but they lose heavily in every war with Britain and France. France is going for defense in depth by building max level forts in every province.
An Ireland of just Limerick and Cork revolted away and sent their divisions off to occupy everything except modern Northern Ireland. They weren't able to make peace, Britain sent in reinforcements after their war with Japan ended, and they eventually got annexed by Beroda. In HoI2 this strangeness wouldn't happen since Cork's a national province of Britain...
This is a hands-off game as Hawaii, using war-starting events to see how big I can get Japan (which explains why they're the #1 Great Power). No other cheats or fired events.
Also, if you want a strange screenshot, refer to the latest post of my AAR (see sig) I know it human done but have any of you ever seen the AI do this?
