Byakhiam said:It's pretty logical route, when you aren't at war with Muslims and therefore can't walk through Muslim territory.
He's playing Bulgaria.
Friedrich Aller said:What country are you playing? And what is these muslims at Croatia?

"we cant walk out the front gate! we must sail out of the city, out to sea, come back and land next to the city....."
i tried just going to the province next to ours, but they couldnt do that, i had to click further away and apparently they just really wanted to go out sailing...
caknuck said:It's because one of those landlocked Croatian counties (Varazdin?) owns two of the tiny islands in the Adriatic, and therefore is coastal. Blame it on a map glitch.

the son of the leader of perslavia(sp?) inhereited the principality of vidin early in the game somehow, then the prince of P-whatever died in battle so it was inhereited to vidin and the byz empire.... maybe thats how russia was able to claim to be the "third rome" lol.....
tarakan said:It is quite normal with the succession law that is elective and the prince of Pereyaslavl son being the sole Monomakh Emperor line. That is what he is called in Russia
Vladimir Monomakh.
could have been an entirely different world if the Byz were inherited by him. He brought christianity to russia. was a great statesman. the mongols would likely fold, the il khanate would go south to egypt.
another dimension completely it would be.

Lucius Ebrius said:When Mongols pop up, they always get one province.
Lucius Ebrius said:while they are sort of immune to attrition (I've seen them suffer some... I think), they aren't immune to cash running out.![]()
Lucius Ebrius said:Not sure if they don't disband some of those regiments, actually. I've seen them get pwned badly just after appearing. In my last game, their tech/morale/anonymous commander sucked so much that I was able to defeat their 70K armies with 30-40K ones. The bad thing is that it seems you get to suffer all attrition they are immune to. Or maybe it's just having them included in the attrition calc for you is so painful. But I think you get to suffer all of it. My 20K armies just disappeared while being in the same square with Mongols.
Lucius Ebrius said:Also, note that defeated armies get bounced from province to province and defeated over and over again if you have your own armies there, so you can bounce the Mongols around a bit.![]()
