That's just beacuse in MES we have reworked the religious setup, so pagans are not really pagans: we used the protestant tag for pagans. In the next release we rework again all the religious setup, so now christians can't switch to paganism.passer by said:

Is that actually Muscovy, or have they become Russia? It look like they should have done, since it's 1627 and they hold the requisite rival capitals.
I have played EU2 a while (But I haven't visited the forum much before :S ), but I have succeeded with some things (No mods, no cheating
), but I got no web space to put it up on :SBut I like the time I succeeded to make the Papal State protestant when I played as Sweden
(Dont remember how I did it, but I got it saved from some months ago.)
It's also pretty fun to play as Sweden and control whole north-America, India, middle-Europe, 50% of todays Russia and half of England.
Played Normal/Normal and started the 1621 scenario (correct date? :S).
Ended with 7846 in score, 101666 in money and 211 in soldiers.
Pretty fun to first make USA a vassal to Sweden and then annex it

I think this was a random event. African countries have some random events that change their religion one way or the other, and you don't see them in the log.
