you're right, Burgundy getting raped into oblivion is quite a normal feature of eu2. Putting their capital outside French core territory seems to help but a little. Did this Burgubdy live on? Or was it annexed pretty soon thereafter?

Sadly, Peace of Arras fired soon after, and most of France's conquests in the Low Countries (and Franche Comte) were all restored. A few years later, the English-captured territories were also back in Burgundy's hands as well, probably also by event.

Still, that's the first time I've ever seen BUR doing that poorly, AGCEEP or no AGCEEP.

Yep. They become crazy big crazy fast, and then crazy annexed from crazy many nations.

i remember in vanilla, burgundy always got so much BB from annexing all the minors in its cores, they never make it until the inheritance events.

Usually in my games they get crazy big, crazy fast, getting in constant crazy wars that they DO survive past the inheritence events because they are constantly at war.

Its ironic that if Burgundy is at peace when Charles dies in battle at the walls of Nancy its game over for BUR.
If they are at war, Charles miraculously survives and BUR's future lives on.

From a game as Venice (AGCEEP 1.56) I started some time ago. Teutonic Order diplomatically annexed Brandenburg and went on a bit of a rampage through central Germany - they are allied and vassals of France, however.

In that same game Lithuania annexed Poland, but the latter was resurrected through the Union event around 1569. :(

From my current game as Ethiopia, AGCEEP 1.57. I didn't pay so much attention in the region. All I can say is poor Hungary. Notice the BB. Has it something to do with the fallen government?

Are those provinces cores for Hungary in 1441 in AGCEEP? Not sure since I've never played them, but the permanent CB suggest to me they are. I thought you don't lose BB for losing ownership of core provinces, so I doubt it dropped to zero for that... Even if it did, it wouldn't have been that high to begin with...

Poor unlucky bastards... considering their destiny is consistently to get the crap beat out of them by Ottomans and Austrians, you'd think bad luck would at least give them a break in the early game. Not a chance.

I don't know if they have any cores, but you're right, you don't lose BB from losing core provinces. However I don't think you lose BB if other nations declares independence from you.

I checked the save-file, and they had been very peaceful throughout the game. They had annexed Bosnia and Serbia, but that was peacefully. So they must have had very little BB.

They usually end up with extremely high revolt risk values in the early game due to numerous succession struggle events. Add to that the war exhaustion amassed through the almost constant wars they are at (Venice, Hussites, OE, sometimes even Austria), it's nothing really strange that they got a civil war.

Hungary will have cores on Steirmark and Croatia, but not Bohemia or Transylvania I don't think...

Before installing the newest AGCEEP, I decided to clean up my screenshot folder and upload some good ones. All are AGCEEP 1.56:
France loses the HYW. Badly. Also appearing: expansionist Switzerland and Savoy. Not appearing: Burgundy.
