This is the first time i try to send screenies, let's see how it turns out. :)

Okay so it is all about Kingdom of Jerusalem. I released them as vassal with the hope that eventually they will convert the province either by random event or by sending a missionary. But no. They instead decided that they set up TPs all over the world and sell the Bible for natives.

I seriously wonder how you got colonists enough to colonize all of the americas and all the way to Kamchatka through siberia.

Did Pocahontas sneak in?

I suppose pocahontas is a cheat code for something, but I must disappoint you. This is a world conquest game on hard level with focus on colonisation and conversion. As for VPs, you get them for having monopolies, and being top producer of a commodity gives a large amount, and since I had no BB wars I had like 150 years from passing the BB limit to finish. Oh, and Central Siberia remained empty. :)

I don't have screenshots of that but in this game Aztecs, Mayas, Hurons, Brunei and many other countries were diligent colonisers. The Aztecs colonised all the way north to Navajo. I was shocked to discover that. I play vanilla and never experimented with changing ai files or installing a mod.

Weirdest from my current game: who says the AI can't attack overseas?

screensave1ec2.jpg

Shortly after this picture, England got force-annexed by France (Spain took Middlesex). They then promptly revolted again, but from Brittany, so their capital is now Canterbury and they have only 1BB (instead of 20-30BB when the gangbang started).

What's weird?

- England didn't lose any provinces by defection, they were all conquered in wars (IIRC Wales briefly got independence, but it was from one of the invaders rather than England itself - England would have been too pathetic to annex them).

- The countries that carved up England were in several different alliances, and once or twice fought a war against each other over who got which part of England. Scotland in particular gained a few provinces this way.

- Unlike the usual game where everyone annexes Irish minors except England, in this game it was only England that annexed Irish states, but England then got heavily beaten in Ireland by Aragon and Desmond. Little Desmond even took Gloucestershire!

My best screenshots though are from a much older game as China, which featured the fighting Irish:

Irish Ukraine (5 provs acquired in 3 separate wars, none of it by defection - Ireland was the one doing the DOWing)

Ireland continued to attack countries in the Ukraine area, but with less success, especially when they DOWed Russia, which led to their eventual downfall in the region. But never mind, there's always capturing the Sund and converting the locals to the true faith:

Despite Ireland's relentless aggression without CB and the fact that they never became a major power, Ireland was rarely DOWed, and no-one ever took any territory off them in Ireland proper (though for some reason, the Irish never really tried to take Meath off England or Scotland). Ireland's final disappearance came peacefully in the form of a French diploannexation in the late 17th century. The border used for DAing? Somewhere along the Hudson River, which was originally Lenape territory, until that tribe got conquered by the Irish (the French colonised an area north of there). As a final legacy, they managed to convert Manhattan to a Gaelic Catholic province.

I don't have pics to hand, but I believe Ireland conquered Holstein, Mecklemburg and parts of the Low Countries at other times in the same game. All in all they made around a dozen DOWs of their own accord (ie 'Eire declares war on X').

Good to see a game where France does not become a superpower :p.
That Ireland is surley a thing for largest AI nations. Not to forget Würzburg!

But I have something strange too:

I had nothing to do with it, but now my protestant northern alliance has got a new member. :p

That's basically what happened in real life - Poland had a lot of Protestants, especially lutherans among the bourgeoisie (sp?) and calvinists among the nobles, in certain areas. This trend (to convert to non-catholic religions) ended around the 17th century.
If I remember correctly, that is :) :eek:o

I notice in some games in AGCEEP that about half of the polish provinces will turn Protestant. Not sure if that'd apply to vanilla, though...

I think its less than half, espaccally the southeast will stay catholic, but Poland controlled some other protestant provs (annexed) and lost on catholic.

It can happen if Poland is too much involved in German lands (Pomerania, Silesia, Danzig, ...). When these provinces turn Protestant, balance with Polish Catholic ones can be broken and AI will change State culture.

May not be that strange to some, but I've never seen such Protestant domination of the religious landscape in Europe. Austria is Protestant, but for some reason DOWs Hungary when it converts, as seen in the game log. Poland recently inherited Lithuania. OE is persistent in its conquests in Europe.

Playing as Brandenburg, AGCEEP.

Austria going Protestant will slant things pretty thoroughly. If only we could stick in that Protestant Poland from Scipio's game, that would be a clean sweep in the East. I'm a little more frightened at the extent of the Ottoman advance into these Christian lands though. Its a little weird to see them as far north as Podlasia and Moravia...

I thought so too, but as BB there was little I could do. Even now I'm wary of fighting a war against OE simply because there is little to gain for me. I'm probably going to wait until they start ruinous wars with my neighbors and then strike at whoever is losing.
