The math doesn't add up because it was a guess.
I just looked it up by way of the tech bonus they give and I had built 31 manufactories by 1655. In 1731 (I haven't yet played further) I had 52 manufactories.

Yeah, that seems to be happening a LOT lately, for me, anyways.
Also that Denmark ALWAYS DoWs Norway early on. Producing quite ahistorical results, with Sweden staying allied to Denmark early on, then getting the crud beaten out of them by Denmark (or... Brandenburg, in one game ), leaving the Danes as masters of Scandinavia.

Controlled all of mainland Afrika, Asia, Japan, and all but a few British colonies in Oceania.
After annexing Spain, shared South America with Portugal, and shared North America with a fledgling England and France. The rest of Europe was mine.

Actually, I think that OE is a revolted nation. Otherwise, I don't know how Venice could have gotten that Thrace CoT. (In case you can't tell, I wasn't paying too much attention to that part of the world )

But still, Venice had to annex the OE first in order to get those provinces in the first place. that's what I meant by Venice MOLESTING the Ottomans. OK maybe I should use a less dirty word...
Venice could have annexed Byzantium, though then the CoT on Thrace would have to appear naturally, orr at start.

Shouldn't there be some kind of fantasy history-line thru wich Venice accepted a role as major power (at least in the area) if it grew that much?
Perhaps there is in another scenario. Putting one into the main game would be too much effort for Paradox, in comparison with the number of times it would get used and the benefit to players.
There's also the possiblity that the OE chose to break the agreements to get a CoT, but not move their capital once they annex Byzantium.Fredward said:Two.

This happened in the last Muscowy game I played. I was very happy of course, as it meant I wouldn't have to annex the whole OE to conquer my new Greek cores.

I suppose it would have to be that, though. Because OE has all its state cultures that it has at the start of the GC. (Revolted nations only have one, the one they came from, AFAIK)

OE get "turkish" state culture and Sunni Muslim religion, regardless of where it revolts.
This is concerning.
