Actually I don't think rebels had anything to do with it since right before I looked I got a notification about Castile and an Iberian wedding. I think Spain just formed without Aragon.

No king, no heir, no problem!

I was playing as one of the daimyos, and my king died when my heir was still about 2-3 years old. A bit later, I got the "heir falls ill" event, and thought what the heck, let's pray against him and hope for a pretender. Yeah, didn't work out that way. I decided to keep playing for a few more years to see what would happen, and then one day I suddenly got an age 18 ruler from a different dynasty.

So, I just started a war with France of Castillian succession. Apparently the game can't make up it's mind on who's actually succeeding who. And what's worse? Jiri z Podebrad hasn't been by king for a few decades now. Dafuq game?
