It's a little more complicated than that.

For Christians, shield is based on religion.
For Muslims, Pagans and Jews, shield is based on culture, with either Christian shields for light cultures), crescented roundels for Arabs and non-crescented roundels for other dark cultures.

It gets more confusing, I picked up a vassal, and she is arab catholic so on her character screen she has the correct shield but the map still shows a round shield.

That theoretically might be due to the graphic mods you're using. But to be fair, it's not the most logical thing there is.

That's odd. The Nubians are Arabs, and they start out with Christian shields. They're Orthodox, so that may make a difference...

I think its a left over. Probebly they were gonna do religion=sheild shape but then dicided not to. Only the Nubians had already been changed to the original idea?

I have something that will prove this, and it is something I still find amusing. Remeber the sheik of Urbino ( http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5108564&postcount=78 )? His son became an Italian Muslim, so he has the COA a typical Italian COA.

You can see the same in the pic I posted not long ago, about a supposed King who was vassal of another King. In that game, the Seljuk Turks CoA is christian - since its ruler is a Greek Muslim.

Something tell me that this doesnt seem to be the correct 1.05 Patch you are running!!!
Or else the Creators of the patch have lied...

- Eliminated possibility to get multiple claims on the same title.
- It should be impossible for a character to receive two educations now.
- RND seeding is now correctly re-rolled for each instance that it is used.

Well, the King's spymaster is a master of disguise, you see, and so when the adulterous couple make plans to see their lovers, he helps them disguise themselves - and he is so good, the King and his wife don't even realize that their secret lovers are, in fact, each other.

It would be a great plot for an AAR. Or a romance novel. Or a really bad pornographic movie. :wacko:

Holy shiznit batman! Acctually ive seen one almost like that...and then castille (while crusading) declared war on everyone at once. I wouldn't be to sure but if im wrong at least ONE game has the right outcome!
