There is, really important reason to add such a condition.

The event fires, but the bastard is alread dead and has no children, so nothing really happens. Adding a condition to an event will increase the CPU-usage, while not adding the condition will just mean that you get a useless event. Annoying but better then slowing down the game

This pretty much tells the story. Enri de Foix, a decidedly average king, married Lale Qara Khan who had one day shown up in the court (possibly a refugee from the Golden Horde? I know they got started a couple times and collapsed again as quickly). As it happened, their first son, Hasan, was Turkish (the other four children she had by Enri were all Occitan. Go figure). So Hasan, Sinan, Selim, and Osman. They're all Turkish Catholic. I got the claim on the Seljuk throne through one of those "claimholder of the enemy" events, I think.

I am just wanted to share a screenshot before I am off to bed. It is not strange, and not even 1.05 (which actually may be counted as strange in this thread).

Here us my current game as a Croatian Count, where I have trough politcal intrigue and ruthless conquering, made Urazo a 4 Demense county, and my hairs, son are inheriting another county. Among my intrigues, was killing my first born son, so my third son could marry his wife (first son was depressed, and maybe infertile), who was the daughter of the count of Z(something), and as her brothers (and eventually father) was murdered by yours truly, the best link to the "throne".
