You have uncovered several 'bugs' in the scenario set upin one screenshot
1. This is the 'wrong' Heilika. She has an older sister also named Heilika, who is 5 years older then her. She should have been married to this Wasserburg guy
2. Her son is named Mechthilde, a female name, Mechthilde should be a daughter. And Mechthilde has the wrong birthdate, it should be somewhere around 1190, so she shouldn't be a starting character at all

I only noticed because I saw the inheritance event in a popup, and thought one for a bishopric strange...that he's an Illusive Shadow makes it even more of a great RP story to crawl around my head.
i know that pre 1.05 if you were the papal controller your male courtiers rather they were eclectically educated or not would inherit bishops. don't know if this is still around as of 1.05 though
The problem is still there, though some things have been changed.
Married male courtiers won't be picked to become bishop somewhere
Courtiers who hold a courtposition (so marshal, chancellor and so on) won't be picked either.
So losing all your male courtiers when you are PC is much more rarer now.
