MacRaith: "Blå", that is a "blue" in swedish, really strange.
It's one of those cultural assimilation things. The family started off Swedish, but then the King of Sweden conquered the Cumans and made Erik Blå the count of some place in Cuman country. Of his 10 kids, 2 turned Cuman and 3 turned Saxon (the mother was a Leofricson.)

Oedipus complex

There is something strange with Henry de Vaudemont. It looks like his children are also his siblings...

Could it be...
Yes! He has children with his mother

I've got a pagan 8 year old with one child for each year of his age, and a cuman empire that spans half the world, but since they've already been posted I thought I'd just tell you about it instead.
Damn cumans.

When the Pope called for a new Crusade for Jerusalem, Somebody forgot which religion they followed:

I have never seen the Il-Khanids do so well in the third start date.

I guess she got lost. She's frankish too. No idea how she became a fatimid vassal though.

Orthodox Mecca! Not too unlikely considering how the game works, but still amusing.

In one of my games Germany owned all of Persia and Iraq, it was really odd. Then the next game I played the Il-Khanat reached Nicomedia and Moskva :( I was Byzantium in the 14thC campaign. It wasnt fair. They just went on a rampage and annexed everything. My empire reached from Serbia to Georgia and Aleppo too, I was pwning. But those damned super-stack making non attrition suffering poo bags pwned everything :(

Completing the incest collection

Well, I found father and his daughter, mother and her son, all that was missing was a brother and sister...

Until now... Here they are:

They start like that in 1337 scenario.

"Ariel" means "lion", so it's a male name. There's also an archangel by that name in the Bible and while it wouldn't be theologically correct to ascribe human sexes to angels, they are normally treated as males and so their names are male (Michael, Raphael, Gabriel etc).

I've had queens declare war on my kings and counts with vassals. Or funny things like the Pope owning land in Persia, Africa, Russia etc. At the moment, I have an Orthodox Grandmaster of the Teutonic Order. :D One of my vassals is Ashraf Piast, son of Lem'an Abbas, the Muslim queen of Poland. :D And the current King of (not much of) France is a Hungarian by the family name of Aba, so not even a royal. Many English nobles were, but that's my fault for reconquering England from Muslims and not watching the succession list for the women I was making vassals for lack of men. Same in Palestine.

Oh, and the Duke of Poitou has recently stopped being the Pope's foreman and now he holds half of France for no overlord but himself. The Duke of Flanders, another Arab Catholic, remained faithful to the Hungarian King of France with loyalty 0 when everyone else rebelled (don't know, maybe or two vassals stayed faithful but I don't think so) until he finally agreed to become my vassal instead. :p Makes sense, sort of, because many of the rebelling French counts are Capets, so I can sort of understand them.

Or married bishops, yeah, in my game, bishops inherited duchies and became dukes (not archbishops) but still became popes. I reloaded and fixed them with women upon inheritance (one of them applied for a woman he refused to marry thrice in a row when I told him to :D), after checking the papabile list and the problem was fixed. :D Also, two of my vassals have had Muslim vassals and I appointed one myself before noticing. That was the, "WTF? The Queen is Muslim?" priceless moment. :D

Also, whereas while Christian nobles with overlords inherit something in your realm, you can say bye to the provinces, I've witnessed a case of Muslim inheritance (the original duke was a bastard Christian son of a Muslim ruler and his Muslim brother inherited from him) without losing the province.

Unfortunately, this is all 1.04 because my non-English version won't ever have 1.05. :( Wish I could just swap some files and make it English and be done with the patch. The translation sucks like hell, too. Their translators claim to be teachers with many year experience but they suck.

Most likely explanation, before he became king of the Seljuks he was a muslim vassal to a christian overlord, and then got an event that converted him to the religion of his liege and then he inherited the kingdom of Seljuks and his vassals then also get the events of becoming the same religion as their liege.

Or he was a courtier in a christian court and became a catholic their through his church education and then inherited the crown.

It was still cool though, the muslims in the Seljuk Empire must have thought the world is coming to an end, especially since the empire didnt exactly experience good times.

It was good while it lasted, his children were all muslim so the empire went back to normal. That generation will always be remembered as the curse for the sins committed by the muslim people.

PS. Other weird things in the game include a nicely united, meaning every province attached, Kingdom of Ireland. I know it has happened before, but it was the first time I've seen it.
