Has anyone been finding anomolous battle results with the new patch?

I am getting really odd stuff happening.

Last night, for example, I have and army of 40,000 Swedish infantry under one of their Field Marshals (I forget his name, but around 1550) be massacred by 3,000 (yes 3,000!) rebels. They had max morale when they attacked and retreated with only 5,000 left.

Why I am asking is because it looked like a bug - the rebel's green bar went down very fast then seemed to stick at abut one quarter. I have seen this at other times (but with not quite so ridiculous numbers), mainly in naval battles.

Anyone else seen this?

Hmm, in former versions there was this 'morale freeze bug'. But it was fixed (with 1.05 I think) and I hadn´t have it since then. Either it´s still there (at a much lesser rate) or You simply had really bad luck. Also there´s the 10 to 1 rule now. Normally an army outnumbered by 10 to 1 now should flee, but I don´t know whether this applies to rebels also...

Maybe those 3,000 rebels were Poles? :D /runs for the hills.

Actually I've seen some rather weird results as well with regards to such combat, though never with that high an advantage in numbers. I wouldn't say it was a bug, has it recurred again? Maybe it was a glitch, maybe it was luck..

Did you get these sorts of defeats / victories with previous patches? Are you sure you can't remember such clashes when you played the game with previous updates?

Yes, I had strange results at other times, mainly in naval battles, but they were never such ridiculous odds and I always thought, well maybe he had better tch than me. But I would have thought the tech of rebels would e the same as yourself(?)

Rebel strength at various times has been way way too strong (in previous patches), playing as the PLC once I had non stop rebel explosions for 30 years, was defeated in 3 / 4 battles with advantagous odds in my corner.

The naval battles *might* be a problem, perhaps some examples of who you fought and what the odds were, results of the battle?

I say don't be too worried about the land battles, though if you do get more of these ridiculously freakish incidents (the 40k Swedish example), then perhaps its time to start looking for a possible problem. Wonder if other people have had the same .. if so voice your concerns now..

Well, the naval battles could just be chance. I lost a battle with 20 warships commanded by an admiral (as Sweden) against 2 or 3 French ones (with no leader). I am pretty sure I had a lower naval tech though, so this could just be chance.

I am afreaid I can't really remember the details. I will have to keep some notes :D
