Strange lag preventing me from starting Imperial Reconquest

I'm not sure if anyone has experienced something similar, but I am currently playing as the ERE, I'm on tier 2 of Imperial Reconquest and I'm trying to the IR claim against the HRE, who have some duchies in the south of Italy, namely Puglia and a few others.

I meet the criteria for the claim, but when I try to select the claim itself from the menu, I get massive amounts of lag which means when I click on "Send", nothing happens.

This applies at any point when I try to push an IR against the HRE, regardess of whether it is Puglia or any other duchy.

This lag has not prevented me from pushing IR against other nations, either, so it seems to be limited to the HRE.

In addition I do not get any strange lag when using other claims against the HRE, it's limited to Imperial Reconquest.


Any help would be appreciated.

Had this on T3, game would just hang when trying to click declare war against HRE, managed to eventually do it by just using the c hotkey
