Ok I know this is not possible but I feel strongly that it should be. I have read elsewhere on the forums that its due to being historically inaccurate to be able to stop production. Well firstly this in itself is a load of rubbish. Ships were often laid down to be constructed and then scaped due to high costs or changes in naval strategy. As an example the United States class of Carrier after the war was laid down as the first super carrier and was eventually totally scraped even though the plans were again later revised and used. Other exaples were ships laid down as one type and then changed for example the UK had many battle cruisers and cruisers laid down which were changed and rehauled to be escort carriers. Germany laid down the Graef Zepplin Carrier which was scraped before it could be completed. So what im saying is why can the game not allow stopping of production along these lines? What game play issues would it have a negative effect on?

This is all the more irritating starting as the UK as their build que is already bristling with new ships which i would not mind apart from one thing. The Carrier Ark Royal for example is judged to take longer to complete (much longer) than if I laid down a new one there and then. This goes for all the ships so why do they all take so long to complete as theorectically they should take less time if anything as they have already been under construction for a amount of time.

There I said my bit.

Personally I like the BB that Brazil starts with in their queue... Of course since it requires 0 IC over it's production period to produce, I guess it's not actually a major stumbling block of anything... ;)

It would be nice to have a way to remove things you are building if you accidentally hit the wrong button in the production window. I was stuck building a pre-war cruiser since I hit the wrong button. Now, I simply prioritized my builds so that it never had any resources and simply languished there as a blueprint.

Also, the same can be said for technology. You should be able to remove tech from your research list. Once you click on something, it is there for good.

As has been said before, we are looking at this issue!
Constantly bringing it up will not change what happens one way or another.

To Summarize:
Players have expressed thier views,
We have heard them,
We are looking at the issue.

IF your one of the developers then you really should not be sarcastic to your customers, we pay your wages. Ive been through the forums but not being funny I should not have to read on the net to find out how to play a game, try printing a manual which is actually worth more than the paper its printed on. The posts I have read did not indicate it was being worked on so I must of missed the posts you refer too.

The game has great potential and all the gripes by us users is in attempt to make it better. Try thinking of that next time.

Well I guess the developers thought along the lines of, once you've started building a battleship, the uncompleted battleship is already there, and you are free to not invest any resources into its construction, but what is the point of totally destroying an uncompleted battleship?

The same argument applies to research. Your scientists can't suddenly forget what they have learned so far about decimetric radar.

It should be possible to cancel a project directly after you select it though, in case you made a mistake.

I have been reading this forum a lot the last few days and this kind of comment and a from couple from Trip have caught me off guard.

I agree with the other person up there. Yes, you may be tired. Guess what? We all work.

Lay off the attitude guys. You sure are beginning to make me think you're a bunch of jerks.

While I agree that you can't make scientists forget what they have worked on, you can cut funding and pour it into other research. The Prioritize button does work to help with this, but it get kinda tedious to continuously bounce your research and units around as you add new stuff.

Maybe a pause button should be added. This would allow you to suspend your research and construction so that it would not be calculated as part of your spending. This is realistic and would help our IMHO.

Yes, a pause button would be a good idea.

I did not think I was giving "Attitude" I was trying to tell you that you all have been heard and it is being looked at. I was hoping to reassure you that you are being listened to and not ignored.
If this is taken for giving attitude I will keep my mouth shut on the subject in the GD forum and leave it to others to discuss.
