Basically I am wondering if there will be any chance for a player who decides to take the hard path of playing either Czechoslovakia or Austria (or others with scripted events focused on them). In games where there is a player as either or both of these countries, do they have a say in the event tree Germany has? Will there be a war option for Austria rather than join Germany, or can they ally with Italy to give Germany pause on their territorial ambitions? Can Czechoslovakia forge a invitation to the Munich Agreement conference and get to put their two cents in on appeasement of Hitler? Perhaps ally with the Soviets as fellow Slavs under threat of Fascism?
While only Major powers currently have National Focus trees dedicated to their particular advancement, the general national focus that all others get seems to leave a very bland approach to forging your own destiny. While this is probably fine with regards to single player games, playing as a lesser power that suffers territorial losses due to events in a multiplayer game keeps them from ever being played.
I am not saying that the Anschluss should not be an event, but seeing as every player knows its coming, the Austrian should have some possible recourse beyond war or acceptance. Perhaps they should vasselize them selves to Lichtenstein?
