What are the odds that destroying a mech's leg can have a larger impact? Juggling a one-legged mech was a delight in every other version of battletech I've ever played. In this game, one-legged mechs successfuly get up every time. They cover a surprisingly large amount of distance, and successfully execute melee attacks without once falling over. Just seems to not be much of an obstacle to functionality, which is a huge deviation from previous experiences.

Otherwise, great job! Loving the game so far.

It means they can't sprint currently, does it not? Also that they are more unstable if hit again and if I have noticed correctly they get less evasion.

In tabletop, it's a crap shoot if they'll even manage to stand up again - and a failed attempt means they fall and taking falling damage. I've not seen a single mech fail to stand up. They cover WAY more ground once up than they do in tabletop. Attempting melee against an opponent should also include a high risk of falling, which it doesn't seem to.

I get that this isn't 100% tabletop, but one legged mechs are incredibly functional in this game.

Sorry for the necro but this really should be addressed. One legged mechs should receive at least a -50% damage debuff on melee attacks, initiative and movement distance; regardless of sprint. To me it feels like hitting the legs of a mech is just a wasted shot.

Might I suggest that a mech missing a leg gets all speed reduced by 50%, it costs another 20% each attempt to stand, and stability damage may never be decreased below 50%? I too have blown legs off just to have said downed mech get right back up and run around behind one of my units and punch through its center torso. Or get up, move just as far as it could normally and fire its weapons and score debilitating crits. Very frustrating.

No, the weapons on a mech should not care about being legged or not. When punching on the other hand, having only one leg is a serious disadvantage. Just try it with your body... Battletech sometimes feels like
