"STOP, COOKIE TIME" Blocks Entire Computer Phone's Screen

Good evening.

In the evening, one thing I enjoy is reading a good AAR to help me rest. I use a mobile interface and log in to the forum.

The problem arises whenever I zoom in.
Immediately, my entire computer phone's screen is covered with that stupid, unnecessary "STOP, COOKIE TIME" pop-up.

When it comes on, I cannot scroll down to the button, so I try to zoom out, revealing the whole nuisance.

Once I zoom out far enough to see the button, the entire pop-up disappears the instant I take my fingers off of the touch screen. Zooming back in reproduces the problem.

I do not have this problem on an actual PC.

Please implement a means to permanently suppress that stupid pop-up through global account settings. I can't take it anymore!

I have the exact same problem, usually I use the Last Pass browser on Android version 9.

That's not going to happen I'm afraid as we are obligated by law to have that popup. You're not the first one to bring this up though and it has been passed on. One cause for this problem is (most likely) our forum platform as it's not "great" and something we are looking at changing in the future.

That's a stupid law. Is it some EU garbage or something? Everyone who really uses the Internet hard enough knows about Internet cookies. This is why I consider the state a mortal, bit neccesary, evil.

The part that gets me is that I can't accept the disclaimer once and not have it appear again. Doesn't the law only call for consent once?

I just don't want it covering the screen. Surely you could stuff it in a footer line or header line instead of drowning the screen?

The law is fine. It's the implementation in this very forum that's "stupid".

Until that is changed you can use an adblocker to block that thing like everybody else.

You are indeed obliged to have that popup but contrary to your implementation it is not required to have it "right there" all the time. Moving it somewhere to the user's preferences (assuming the user in question has an account) is totally fine.
paradoxplaza is the only page I encountered so far that bothers me all the time with that thing...
Even the default solution from the European Commission vanishes as soon as the user has made its choice...

The cookie consent solution is a JavaScript based kit that, after some site specific configuration, will automatically add a header banner to the page. This header banner will disappear once the user has accepted or refused the cookies used on the website.

I browse the forum on a PC, but also have the 'accept cookies' persistence and it's very annoying. I have accepted them at least five times this evening and the thing is still there.

I find it quite annoying as well. On my own computer I already have it blocked with AdBlock, but for some reason whenever I try to do the same on my phone it never works.
