it seems sort of odd that as a xenophile nation i cant do ANYTHING with stone agers, pre sentient? uplift, post sentient, i can enlighten, but stone age pops? stone age pops just prevent me from colonizing the world. this sucks, and is often a major let down.

please, give us something to do with stone agers, its a major headache considering ive never seen them enter the bronze age. you might as well just call it a world youll never ever have.

Agree.

Can at least something be done with them? Spawn re-balanced or tweaked?

With my current experience I am quite close to Rage Quitting, with Stone Age Primitives making every second 20+ Tiles Planet I survey useless.

No other
Ethos is this punishing with Game Events.

It's truly bizarre that Primitives are even considered their own category. Why are they not just a part of the bronze age -> space age system?

because you don't have to respect their rights. They are also very low on the totem pole so far as technological advancement is concerned (MTTH is 200 years so they may not even advance over the course of a game).

Problem being an actual punishment for Xenophiles from this mechanics - because, unlike other Ethos, there is zero profit from them and a lot of losses when they spawn on large sized planets.

Recent example from my ongoing game - three primitives spawned close to each other, on 23+ Tiles planets.

Pretty damn close to actual Griefing, in my opinion.

Pacifists also have this problem; it also prevents them from having the Unrestricted Access policy (which prevents invading worlds) and AFAIK being also Xenophobe does not offset it.

I will say that neolithic species DO reach bronze age eventually, but since every primitive species spawns at a different point on the way to their next tech age, that could be years, decades or centuries from when you first discover them.
