Now, now there are many fine Irishmen - Wellington for instance. Not every Irishman is a Fenian and indeed not every Fenian is strictly an Irishman. We'll be covering the 'dynamite outrages' as we go along.

Glad to have you both along. This was meant to get going a couple of weeks back but I have adblocker and so set up the thread about two days before the old forum went down. Been meaning to do a British AAR for ages and now DB is having a sabbatical I thought I could swoop in. I've been tinkering with my graphics a bit too so hopefully this AAR will be a damn sight more attractive than my previous efforts. Here's an example of the sort of thing I'm going for. This will be starting in 1861:
Allow me to clarify, I do not hate any Irishman, or indeed, Ireland in general. I just hate Ireland's borders. Very untidy.

I hope to have the first update up tonight but its election time and I've been canvassing most of the week (currently on a break wont do done til 4pm or so) so there's a good chance it'll turn up about 1am because I have the writing speed of a heavily dosed sloth.

I know, I know, was going for the least 'Irish' Irishman I could think of. Anyway the obvious retort to that quip is "no but you are if you come out of a mare". I suppose nation-bashing followed by mother-bashing doesn't leave anyone looking good, nevermind the whole Anglo-Irish issue. Also I wouldn't want to be duelling cannonettes at dawn...

Sorry that I've managed cock this up straight out the gate. I've been bedridden for close to a week now. First update is about half done, I'm feeling a lot better now so I'll try and get it sorted by tomorrow at the latest.

I never read Vicky2 AARs but I'll read this one on account of it being written by someone else trying to juggle the competing demands of an AAR and canvassing.
(Also because the Liberals are in charge at the start of the AAR of course)
