Did u receive refugees? Do u have any migeation treaty at all? Because if u have one, then the empire u have it with could have several. So the pop could have wandered over several migration treaties towards u.

Lithoids always have +50 habitabiliy additionally to their normal habitability, which allows them to basically grow on any planet. They grow slower than normal bio pops, yet if given the choice the planet will most times try to grow them instead of any other species, just because of the habitability. U should probably try to get rid of those pops.

Wait so if I have a migration treaty with X species and X species has a migration treaty with Y and Z species, I now have a migration treaty with X, Y, and Z? That makes absolutely NO SENSE whatsoever. If that’s the case this needs to be fixed immediately.
I came searching for this answer because all the habitable worlds that were RED or YELLOW are now showing as green for species with which I don’t have treaties. Some of them I haven’t even formally met as they just got discovered by a galactic community member or whatever. I only have ONE migration treaty, but this species has migration treaties with like four other civilizations. I mean, I’m not mad per se as my species is fanatic xenophile but it just kinda ruins the immersion for me, even with the suspension of disbelief required to immerse yourself into this game.

You have a migration treaty with X. X has migration treaties with Y and Z.
So what happened is, a pop migrated from Y to X, because they have a migration treaty.
Then a pop migrated from X to you, because you have a migration treaty. Coincidentally, it happened to be the same pop.
This is working as designed.

Well it hasn’t happened yet because I haven’t colonized the worlds that the Y and Z could populate but I was just curious why it’s now saying I could now build colony ships and colonize worlds with species I don’t have migration treaties with. I assume to keep the non-agreed upon species I’ll need to go into species rights and change to no migration and colonization? I mean I’m not going to because I said I’m fanatic xenophile but still, it’s the principle of it I guess.
I don’t see how or why this type of mechanic would be necessary or intended. If I only like civ but they’re okay with everyone, everyone shouldn’t be allowed to migrate to me just because it’s habitable to them… I didn’t agree to allow them to move to my planets just because my friend said they could move to his. It’s the principle and I shouldn’t have to specifically limit species that I don’t have agreements with.

You allowed CITIZENS OF YOUR FRIEND to migrate to your empire, no matter what species. If you do not want certain species in your empire, set them to "undesireable" species rights.

Yeah I got it. I mean I see how it makes sense if X Civ has given full citizenship rights to all species with which they have a treaty. Never thought about it that way. It seems obvious now lol.

Also, I failed to consider X and I are in a federation, which may also have something to do with it because our law states we can have separate treaties from each other.

thanks
