Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
What happened to me was that one day I opened my game after it had been updated to Fornax, and after it loaded and was about to finish loading, the game closed for me, I tried looking at the local files on steam and There were no errors and the last save of the game was days before it was updated to Fornax, I didn't use the mods much and when I used them they are always mods to improve the map like Real Space on Steam so it shouldn't be that the problem. Although I think it could be because of the cloud.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
1. A Stellaris game with the DLCs that I said before, then load the game with a save from another version and update the game, then load the save with maybe the Steam synchronization with problems and it has not been saved in the cloud.
I don't really remember what happened. But I get that this has happened to people before.
