Description
v2.8.1 (dfce) Restoring ruined ringworld segments causes the segment to be deleted

Game Version
Butler 2.8.1 (dfce)

What version do you use?
Steam

What expansions do you have installed?
Utopia, Apocalypse, Federations

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Went through the Precursors chain, found the Cybrex system with a ruined ringworld. Upon researching megastructure restoration, I restored one of the segments. It took the usual time, and then vanished. Nothing there visually, no object/unitframe to click on.

I thought that it might be a graphical glitch, and that the ringworld might be properly refreshed once the other three segments were also restored. So I did that. They vanished as well.

I've no idea what to try now. This is coming on the tail of my complete reinstall of the game following the buggy megastructure restore from saved games ( https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...-forgets-corrupts-all-megastructures.1442496/ ) and starting a new game.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Discover Cybrex Alpha, restore all the segments.

In this one it's already repaired-and-deleted. I'll try to find one where the repairs were still in progress. (This was another demo game for friends, so we didn't save very far back.)

Okay, this one might be more useful. Three of the segments are already gone, and the fourth is a few hundred days shy of finishing repairs.

I was looking through the recent patch notes again and noticed this from the 2.8.0 notes:

Restoring megastructures will now only cause the rubble from their ruined variants to be cleared, rather than all ambient objects in the system (including system effects e.g. nebulas...)

Methinks that part might have a flaw.
