Abrams wasn't the problem. Hidalgo and Filoni ruined Star Wars.

AbramsTrek was enjoyable. Didn't have the same feel (DS9 is Best Trek), but still enjoyable.

You have to build a mining station over the planet "Dragon's Hoard" in the system where you encountered the dragon.
After some decades/ century, an event should appear, which gives you as a reward scales and/or one dragon egg to incubate.
I've both in my current game: the immature space dragon is underpowered. Basically, fluffy the terrible: adorable, but useless in battle.
The scales are better.

Takes up a cruiser slot and is about 10K in fleet strength. Impressive as a single ship, but tends to die quickly in any decent sized battle.
Mostly because it doesn't actually have any shields

1) Awakened empires don’t have extradimensional weapons anymore. Which is a pity, considering it’s the only weapon I miss from the all tech tree…
They never carried EDM weapons. Only the Extradimensionals did.
There are also unconfirmed reports of hte AI Rebellion having them.

2) Titans use laser weapons. Yep: the wreckage left behind are “large titan laser”. And considering how much damage it delivers, I think it’s set to bypass the hell of any defence (as it should be!)
Normal Empires see a beam of light and call it a "laser". Who knows what kind of weapon it really is.

The titan laser deals 4000-6000 damage, ignoring 90% armor and deals 25% less damage to shields. It has 85% accuracy and 0 tracking. That means more or less it can one shot everything. The one exception would be an extremely high shield tank which might be able to get enough shields to take one shot. I've made Battleships with 3000 shields before, which after the shield damage penalty would be able to tank a hit.
Basically the Titan Laser (and it's Leviathan equivalents) are designed to delete big ships.
Going small works a lot better.

I absolutely agree, and it's been hinted that the devs want to make titan ships (and similar FE ships) researchable and constructible. Heck, anything to draw out the research of the game to give an advantage to empires that prioritize science is a great thing.

BUT, I feel like there should be some sort of special system with which the player researches and discovers this sort of stuff. A titan ship wouldn't be easy to build and maintain, and it certainly shouldn't be easy to research, nor do I think it should be possible to reverse-engineer it. Maybe something more convoluted than a single research project. Maybe a set of projects in each form of science that you have to research before unlocking the final piece of the puzzle.
I also heard they might want to allow building Ancient Dreadnoughts.

A simple way to limit titans might be access to Liquid Metal. It is apparently a major ingredient in Ringworlds. Who says you do not also need them for Titans?

It certainly had the outward forms and visible signs of Star Wars, its lightsabers and blasters, its fancy spaceships and superweapons, but not what is of more importance. It lacked the soul of Star Wars.
...nah. Felt infinitely more Star Wars-y than the prequels, if nothing else, but I'd absolutely say it had the "soul" (whatever that's meant to mean).

The funny thing is that your argument is infinitely more applicable to the Star Trek reboot.

Would agree on the SW part, but disagreee on the Star Trek part.

Star Wars has always been the same story (just look at the similarities between 4, 1, and 7). That is actually a recognition advantage and not a critique.
Whereas Star Trek was always a mirror of the time it was made in. It always delved into the thematics of it's ages.

Smarter and more eloquent people than me have delved into how the nuTrek movies are terrible as "Trek"- replacing any sort of introspection with flashy explosions and bad rehashes of better, older plots does not a "mirror of the times" make.

The only problem is that the AI for Titans is designed to target the largest ships only. So they'll target Battleships, then Cruisers and so on.
Wich is why you should not bring ANY of those. Throwing battleships against a battleship killer is a bad idea in the first place.

Btb, that is a generall targetting change. The Weapons will try to shoot targets with matching evasion/tracking relationship first.
The applies fully to player and AI empire ships. Keep that in mind when designing fleets.

How dare you mention a titan from SOASER that isn't the Ragnarov?
(otherwise i agree with you)

Many reasons:

1) The Ankylon fits with the mammalian ships design: boxy, crude shapes of grey metal, solid and geometrical.

2) The Ragnarov is a freudian ship, built as a glass cannon: supreme range, high burst DPS, but poor defences and poorer still ship to ship engagement weapons

3) The king of the hills among titans in SoaSE is and always be the Vorastra Titan: fleet annihilator with its ultimate, built with 4/4/2 in attack/defence/energy can decimate anything that survives the Maw, or jump away if needed thanks to teleport.

Sadly, thanks to its design it would fit more with the Unbidden/ AI rebels:
