Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
The first contingency world appears on the third of August in my current save. The game invariably crashes to desktop before the end of August. This game was started in the previous version and updated to 2.6.0 on March 17th. I tried verifying the game cache and it came up clean. I also tried dropping graphics settings as low as possible but this also didn't help.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
1. Load save
2. Begin passing time
3. Allow the contingency to spawn (3rd August)
4. Continue passing time

I should also say that I found the dumps folder empty.

You need to downgrade back to the last update. You can't continue the game from a previous update on the current update.

As was mentioned, we can't really guarantee moving from 2.5.x to 2.6.0, if you wish to continue that save, you'll have to select the 2.5.x beta branch that was made available upon release of 2.6.0.
