Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Secondhand report based on this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Stellaris/comments/myzge9
"R5: So, it turns out you can totally shift ethics to egalitarian after becoming the emperor. And become democratic. It did seem to break some of the bonuses from the unique civic ( i don't seem to be getting the influence or the envoy) but i did reform my government back to democratic, so that might have done it.

ALSO

"hat's the "galactic sovereign" one you get when you're the emperor. Gives 6 influence, one envoy, 40% diplomatic weight and +1 civic slot to account for itself. unfortunately, it seems either shifting to egalitarian or changing to democratic broke it. I get the diplo weight and the civic slot, but not the influence and envoy.
All that said, the rest of the Empire is pefectly functional like this!"

Please confirm whether this is a bug (which it seems to be as part of the civic works but the other parts don't) or working as designed (in which case the fact that you'll lose the extra influence and envoy isn't properly documented in-game and probably should be).

Steps to reproduce the issue.
As a secondhand report, its hard to know for sure if there are any other factors, but it seems that you need to become the Imperium, then report to be an Egalitarian Democracy. It might occur in a wider range of scenarios, but I don't know for sure.

Hey, i originally posted this on reddit, and can answer the questions. I was simply playing vanilla with only graphical mods (Dark UI, Softer hyperlanes, Tiny Outliner and Tiny Fleets). I own all DLC. I was egalitarian all game, with strong support for the faction. Became emperor, and 1 day afterwards embraced egalitarian, then spent 250 to reform my government back to democratic. interestingly, as i recall (it's an ironman save, so i can't go back) there was a moment where i was actually egalitarian with imperial authority.

EDIT: attached my most recent save file

Any word on this, PDX? It is a quite harmful bug to anyone who wants to reform the Imperium to a Democracy after the fact - as you are allowed to do. The loss of 6 Influence and an envoy [especially the 6 influence] is a devastating cost for reforming, and it doesn't seem to be an intentional penalty.

I can confirm that it now works correctly for me, with a shift from Fan Egal. + Xenophile Democracy --> Fan. Auth + Xenophile Imperial (Galactic Emperor here and henceforth)--> Auth. + Fan. Xenophile Imperium --> Auth. Fan. Xenophile Oligarchy --> Egal. Fan Xenophile Oligarchy --> Egal. Fan Xenophile Democracy.

Galactic Sovereign worked at all stages of the process.
