"Planet Sihaya. Max security laboratories of the Tearkia of Vrs."
A massive place built completely underground, shielded from radiation and interferences of any kind. The complex is huge, more than the city above, pristine and filled with Midions of the scientist caste. The first levels are for engineers and their like: here and there, hover tanks and artillery pieces are been upgraded and augmented with new technology. Exoskeleton are been assembled and .50 cal for infantrymen are assembled with the best in gyrojet technology [Wikipedia that, it is interesting] and ammunitions with antimatter cores.
The levels below are for physics projects: engine for starships, propulsion system, battle computer components, armors and shields for starships.
Here, the Elder scientist can observe more of the Warrior caste, especially the dreaded Bleeding Lances: as the one accompanying them, they are grim warriors dressed in silver armor, with the gold insignia of the Tearkia on the chest. Around him, their lances dance thanks to their psionics, weapons as long as a Midion is tall, with a 2 /5 of them made of obsidian- like monomolecular blade. His name is Katr, but he's a Midion of few words: in his composite eyes there is a grief that almost dominate him. It is Arel that explain what the Elder scientist see and answer their question.
But the more they descend in those laboratories, the more uncompressible their surrounding become: the place is filled with dread, and Katr become more silent and harsh the more they get close to their destination.
"...And this, as you can see honored guests, is where we keep the most... uncooperative of our projects."
"To say the least." snarled Katr: "...We paid a terrible price for capturing it. And killing the rest of its kin."
A gigantic shutter open in front of them, reveling a single being, kept in stasis with force fields. It's a corpse, scarred and burned.
"We studied very carefully the book you shared with us, the Curse Prayers." said Arel: "...We believe what we have found, is a spawn of Shub Niggurath. But we would like to know your opinion about it."
