This was not meant as a hostility to the alliance. It was a rather an effort to protect others from the Ur-Quan Hierachy. However, it would also decrease the percentage of power in the alliance, from Khendros. They are too influential, and needs to be watered down. We have not forgotten their previous forceful "enlightenment" on us.
Actually we never "forced" enlightment upon you, it was never part of our Peace deal, the only part included there is that you do not join any hostile empire, as we too are part of the independent League this is acceptable, although the fact that you have now gone back on an enlightment proposal you accepted is annoying [I assume that this happened very quickly, Before the Khendros had sent any peacekeeping forces to the planet, also I read all of this very quickly but whom else is in on the League]
To all, the Khendros offer enlightment, if you accept you will be granted our technology and protection and in Exchange you will become Citizens and do your best to work for the prosperity of us all.

The most obvious house of a traiter would be among you, they have your ships after all, conduct investigation on all higher officials immideatly and you may find the traitor.
