The Map Room, Temple of Fate, Hoithea
Archprophet Z'jic, together with Inquisitor Ir'orb were looking at the galaxy map. The Heavenly Dominion stll looked small, with just two colonized planets and a series of mining facilities on asteroids and inhabitable planets. There was a need for expansion as the Ur-Quan threat was on the rise. The closest friends of the Krav'ohq, the Kahesh were also expanding their military powers. It was clear that the Heavenly Dominion mustn't rely on their allies to defend them. The military fleet was small, though pretty much brought up to date.
"We need to expand our combat capabilities, Inquisitor. The Krav people look for us not only for their defense, but also to keep the prestige of the Dominion high. But what divinity and universality is there when we have such a small fleet and an infirm power projection?" asked the Archprophet, looking at Inquisitor Ir'orb. Z'jic knew that the Krav'ohq were seeing him as a representative of the fate. He can't be right or wrong, he can just follow what the Fate has in store for the Krav'ohq. Z'jic knew that such a thing was just ideological rhetoric. He had to do something. He was the first Archprophet and the first leader of the Krav after the discovery of FTL. His predecessor, was extremely open-minded when decided to send a ship to Viystea, where the remains of that old civilization were found. Z'jic thought if his predecessor would have also militarized the society more.
"It is necessary. We still need to defend ourselves first and foremost and..." the Inquisitor was interrupted by an intelligence officer entering the room.
"Your Holiness, your excellency. We have a report from KDS Rav'ana. The ship discovered a habitable planet.
The Archprophet looked at the Inquisitor. "Expand the colonization budget. It seems the Fate favors us." He then looked at the officer: "Tell the captain of Rav'ana that they will receive all materials necessary. Also, find volunteers for colonization. Tell them it's for the common good." When the officer left the room, he turned again to the Inquisitor: "Also, inform our allies of our new planetary addition and of the military expansion."
